I have a problem that I was hoping someone might be able to help me with. In August last, I bought the AMAS sound sampler/MIDI interface for my 2500. I'm primarily interested in digitizing, so I have no comments on the MIDI part of it. When I initially purchased it, I received the 2000/500 version of the hardware, but I had only my 1000, so it sat idle until I got my 2500 in October. When I tried it out then, it seemed not to do anything. I booted in 68000 mode with the disk included, but the software didn't seem to respond to any signal I gave the hardware. Further, even with the hardware disconnected, although no signal was being displayed in either of the oscilliscopes or the frequency responce bar graph, the signal strength indicator showed the input signal to be too strong. I sent the thing back, and Michtron sent me a new one. The new one wasn't marked as 1000 or 2000 specific, but since I clearly stated that I wanted a 2000 version, I assume that that is what I got. Well, this one does exactly the same thing. I tried it on three machines (a 2500, a 2000hd, and a 2000). I get the same thing on all three. Does anyone out there know how to help me? Am I missing something? Has anyone made this critter work? Thank you one and all for your kind attention. -caleb
