I spent a few hours setting up the system the way I like it (required restoring the files for a backup of my A1000's hardisk), then I decided to actually test the speed of the drive. Using Diskperf, I got ~420K reads with 32K buffers. I am curious as to whether this is what I should expect from the system, or would playing with interleaves on the Quantum drive improve my performance? Of course ~420K reads are nothing to sneeze at, but I seem to recall that hearing something about ~700K reads. Thanks for any response, Jimmy Miller
