You can do this and leave RAMAEPC still usable; they have even modified the RAMAEPC driver so that it does not initialize on a re-boot. c) The Transdrive still does not seem to be usable if you have the TranswarpGS at warp speed; no big deal, however -- you can still get into the GS CDA's when you are running the PCT and switch speed in midstream, even after you've gotten the disk error (Abandon, Ignore, Retry?) message.
