I am trying to use the block read ("u1") command from assembler code... and I am failing miserably! the code I wish to use (as in basic) goes something like... open 15,8,15,"i0" open 8,8,8,"#" print#15,"u1:"8;0;18;0 close8: close 15 etc etc in assembler I am opening channels 15 and 8 with the appropriate file names, I then use JSR CHKOUT ($ffc9) to set channel 15 as ouput channel and send the character string 'u1:_8_0_18_0' where _ = at this stage all appears well... except the head runs off to track 1... and I read a blank sector! any hints suggestions etc?? (complete code segments will be accepted!) ============================================================================== Any replys to : s887212@minyos.xx.rmit.oz.au from Romulis : the dude who got lost accross the deep pink sea! ============================================================================== ----------- End of forwarded posting ------------ -- >>> Dan Fandrich CDNnet: shad04@ccu.umanitoba.ca Compu$erve: 72365,306
