Therefore we are looking for third party disks, especially fast SMD-disks. Has anybody out there (good or bad) experiences with such disks. How well are they supported by ULTRIX and the installation-scripts? In SUNland we had little problems with that, is this true for ULTRIX too? I have very interesting offers for FUJITSU-disks (2 M2382 with 839MB each or 1 M2392K with 1.7GB) on an EMULEX QD34 or QD35 controller. Any comments on these configurations? Please reply by email, I'll summarize to the net.
