I have a rainbow 100 with a color AT>VR241 terminal. The terminal-CPU cable has three small single- AT>strand coax wires connecting to the VR241 with BNC connectors. ... AT>any idea where I can find connectors for the coax wires and do AT>a do-it-myself crimp/solder/splice of the three (RGB) wires? Al, about 2 years ago Jim O'Brien (OBRIEN@VENUS.YCC.YALE.EDU) described to the INFO-DEC-MICRO/comp.sys.dec.micro community how he had connected a NEC Multisync II to a Rainbow. His experiences were summarized in the Sept '88 issue of _Rainbow News_. According to his article, you can order a colour monitor cable from DEC (part # BCC17-06, cost ~60, call 1-800-DIGITAL). Jim also describes how to make your own cable using BNC connectors purchased from a local Radio Shack for a few $$ each. If you need any info about "doing it yourself" but don't have Jim's article, let me know and I'll see if I can be of more assistance.
