I would like to do uucp with him over the net. Sorry, you can't do that. HP does not support ethernet connections with uucp. We do have a facility called vt-uucp which will let you talk uucp with another HP machine over a lan. However, I have a program that *might* work for you. Yes, it's another pty kludge, I'm afraid...
