My point was that you didn't send yourself a message.  All you did was post
to the entire world (at the expense of the thousands of sites that carry
news) a message with a TO: line in the text.  There is no way that that
will ever get back to you as mail.

The TO: ALL doesn't work any better than TO: darcy@druid. The correct
method to send news is as you did it.  The only problem is that you
thought you were sending mail which as I have explained is incorrect.
Check with someone on your site to find out if email is available.

You suggest that you don't want to waste bandwidth by posting to the
entire net.  If you are furthering a discussion that belongs on a particular
newsgroup then don't hesitate to post.  That is what the net is for.  Find
out how to email from CRS and send me email.  I will email you back the
documents that explain the net and how to use it properly.  Perhaps
you can see that they get passed around CRS.  Remember that although
you pay CRS to log in, none of that gets passed to the net.

Sorry to the rest of the net for continuing the discussion in comp.sys.ibm.pc
but I doubt that CRS gets the news discussion groups.
