I've excerpted two of Eugene Vogt's comments that sum it up. Bottom Line? Wait till April...(!?) :) ********************************************************************* Date: Wed, 21 Feb 90 09:54:10 est From: efv@security.mitre.org (Eugene F. Vogt) I believe the availability of more fonts in the LaserWriter is due to the PostScript driver that you pay big $$$$ for when you buy one of those printers. Software Publishing has recently come out with an add-on ($52 at EggHead) for 1stPub that adds a bunch of fonts in a lot of sizes, and has enhanced drivers for a bunch of printers, including the LaserJet series. It's called Publisher's TypeFace, I think. I have been meaning to get a copy, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I use a 24-pin epson with my 1stPub. *********************************************************************** Hold Everything! Stop the presses! I read in InfoWorld last Friday that SPC will be coming out with 1stPublisher version 3.0 sometime in April, and from the description, it sounds like the add-in has been added in. Upgrade will be $45 for registered users. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- >>---> Eugene F.
