I can tell you that I have fixed a graphic, within a Word paragraph box, and
run text beside it.  I used the "format Paragraph ... Position" commands to do
so.  However, I also found that the fixed graphic was really fixed, and the
flowing text was a little erratic about how it flowed.  I think this was due to
my lack of complete understanding of the interrealtions between Para Size,
Distance from Text, and Position relative to either margins or page.  It can be
done, and I tried without even reading the book.  Good luck.
