Message-ID: <4434@accuvax.nwu.edu> Date: 27 Feb 90 18:37:53 GMT Sender: news@accuvax.nwu.edu Reply-To: magik@norby.acns.nwu.edu (Jeff Williamson) Organization: Northwestern Univ. Evanston, Il. Lines: 25 References: The misguided reactions of my coworkers here at NU have prompted me to post a clarification of the situation regarding the Beaker software I (still!) shall be distributing soon (hopefully next week). (1) This is a DEMONSTRATION copy of the current version of Beaker. The non- demo copy is NOT Shareware, and I cannot legally distribute it. Sorry if there was some confusion in this matter. (2) I am authorized by Joyce Brockwell, co-creator of the Beaker project, to distribute the DEMONSTRATION copy freely. Unless something has changed her mind recently, this still stands. (3) I do not read comp.sys.mac often enough to have caught any POSTED requests for Beaker. Later this evening I shall post a list of people who have e-mailed me, as an acknowledgement. If your name is not on this list, and you would like a demonstration copy of Beaker, send me e-mail at magik@norby.acns.nwu.edu. If your name is on this list, and you wish to be removed because this is merely demonstration software, please send me e-mail to that effect. I apologize for any confusion my post may have caused, and again I must apologize for my delay. magik@norby.acns.nwu.edu
