Yes, BUT what about the life of our planet!!!! I know that there are far bigger consumers of electricity than our computers, but I still in all good conscience cannot leave on my machines at work when I go home at night. Consider that there are on the order of tens of millions of personal computers alone in this country, if everyone left his or her's on at night the energy consumption would be substantial. It's hard for us as individuals to make large impacts on the environment, but there are lots of little things we can do that when practiced by a large number of people can have an impact.
