Could someone see that this reaches whatever obscure network apple
requires their bugs submitted on?  Or do they have an email address
these days?

The apple midi driver refuses to configure the printer port when
appletalk is also configured.  This is wrong (and damn frustrating and
inconvenient) in the case where the appletalk interface is an ether
board.
