I have noticed a peculiarity in the ID numbers used by respondents to
refer to a previous note.
 
The majority of the replies use a reference ID which does not correspond
to *anything* I can find in the original item.  
 
Is this a peculiarity of the re-feed of items sent to texbell for
posting to comp.sys.ncr?
 
Mail traffic has been such that I have been able to figure out what
the earlier item was with little difficulty, I just wanted to point out
to those of you so diligently using reference ID's that it doesn't appear
to be helpful to at least SOME of us.   :-)
