By a strange coincidence, I was trying to do exactly the same thing (i.e.,
figure out what TIOCGETC was) when the previous letter arrived.  I also am
interested in knowing what I SHOULD have done (what I did was comment out
the offending code... hardly a viable option in most circumstances).  Also,
some BSD sources come with their #includes in the wrong order for SG (it's
generally bad when you get "error in /usr/include/sys/*.h"  header files...
I ALMOST reloaded the system from tape).
