Cntr Hou, Tx Lines: 26 Can anyone help explain or provide a work-around for an unusual problem i'm having with the X server...on my P.I. when I do an "xinit" from a wsh terminal an x-login window is created in a normal way. I usually invoke an X client on my colleagues sun (xbif) that displays on my Iris. when I'm finished I ususally log off (all at once) and go home.... When I log in again and try to invoke X (via xinit) I get no response. I found out that Xsgi from my previous session was still running and blocking my new Xinit request. Until I kill Xsgi from the previous session, new Xevents are not processed.... What's happening... I would like the X-server to shut down when I log off. Sometimes it seems to as I don't always find Xsgi running when i log back in. could my sun application have something to do with this behavior.? I can be reached at convex!texhrc!mjz or here... thanks Michael Zeitlin
