Does anyone know how to reset the tick rate for a SparcStation running
SunOS 4.0.3 with a binary only distribution?  I have attempted to change
the rate by changing HZ in param.c and rebuilding the kernel.  However
when I boot the modified kernel I get the following output: .  

Feb  3 23:02:22 orac vmunix: bwtwo0 at SBus slot 3 0x0 pri 7 
Feb  3 23:02:22 orac vmunix: panic: startrtclock 
Feb  3 23:02:22 orac vmunix: rebooting...

This happens whether I set the rate up or down, so I presume that there is
a check in a kernel module that does not use hz.
