  Well all, thanks for all the suggestions, but they didn't seem to work.
I ended up being able to make 2602gf files.  Everything worked fine until
I typed mode=epsonlo.  In fact I had to type mode=epsonlo_ 
Now for the kicker, does anyone have a complete set of 180pk epson fonts?
If you have them you can ftp upload them to xanth.cs.odu.edu in the
incoming/amiga directory. Please help me!  I really want to use tex.
