Actually, the $3000 figure is for upgrading from a 120 MB disk to a 320 MB disk. Since the 120 MB disk you give up for this option is worth $1950, the actual cost of the first 320 MB disk is $4950. So the cable for the second 320 MB disk is only $550. Quite reasonable. -- David Canzi
