I am trying to figure out what tape backup arrangements would suit my needs. I am a bit spoiled in that I have become very fond of our 8mm Exabyte on our Sun network. But the best price I could get for an Exabyte, controller and software is $4,400. This is a little steep for a personal system at home. I am now considering the Archive Viper 2150s. I can get a bare drive for $475. I understand that Adaptec 1542 controller will work with the drive and device drivers are available. Does this sound like a workable solution? And where can I get the controller and software? Paul -- Paul J. Emerson Software Design Group, Inc.
