There is a great deal of growth predicted in the business un*x market. The users in that market are very likely to already know MS-Windows. Your mother did you a terrible misservice if she taught you that life would be fair. ;-) It is precisely because of this natural bias that Motif chose the MS-Windows style of interaction.
