He's right.  I did it anyway.  :-)

Seriously, it takes about 150 MB or so for the sources (including
contrib).  Binaries
take (let me check...) around 12 MB on my 386i, including bitmaps,
libraries, several
contrib binaries, and Gnu Emacs.
