Using release 3, the performance of the color side of the sample server was
embarassingly slow, slow enough to prohibit its use by all but the most
brave, so the monochrome portion was made the default.

With release 4, the color support is no longer unusably slow, so we reversed
the order to reflect what we hoped would be the default mode of use -- color.
One of the major reasons was to get people used to using color on Suns again.

To get the old behaviour, you can pass the '-mono' option to the server.
