GNU Emacs 18.55.1 of Tue Oct 31 1989 on marat (hpux)

I suggest that there be cross references in the doc strings for
uppercase-x and capitalize-x.  The alterative of adding the string
"case" to the name of the capitalize commands seems too heavy.
