We are planning to migrate from AIX/370 F44 to F50 next month.

Although we have offered student classes on a test basis with F44, we
have limited AIX experiences.  Presume local changes are reapplied and
that user files are restored from tape.  How do we migrate the password
files?

It is our understanding that the only way to migrate from F44 to F50 and
eventually F50 to General Availability is to completely reinstall AIX.

Is this correct?  What steps have others taken to perform their upgrades?
