As we are using thin wire, we decided to go for the latter. It was a bit of a struggle to fit the adapter into place, if I recall correctly we had to remove the plastic card guide then it went in OK. The manual (GA27-3785-1 IBM 8232 LAN Channel Station Operator's Guide) only mentions the 2273A. I can't remember how we discovered that the 2274A would also work. Certainly no other kind of adapter is supported, as has already been pointed out by other contributors to the list. Alan
