As for negative leaps, it does not seem likely during our lives or the lives of the timecode generator that such would happen barring impact of a very large meteorite, in shich case there may be nothing left to broadcast timecodes to. I'd like to find out if this is in fact the format allegedly used on WWVB now. I'd also like to find out what codes are used in Europe. Dave
