Is the AM>> subway wheelchair accessable? If so are there any AM>> restictions? Thanks Hi Al, I'm not from Toronto, but I did visit there this winter. My friend and I rode the subway quite a lot. All I can remember of them was that there were an awful lot of stairs and esclators. I do recall seeing elevators in most of the larger stations, however there seem to be a few that are accessable only from stairwells leading down from the street. The trains themselves appeared to be spacious enough for a wheelchair so long as your's isn't the sort where your legs are straight, and in front of you. ( I had a friend with CP once who's leggs were held in such a position). I have to admitt though, that while on my holiday, and being a STANDEE I wasn't paying close attention to the accessability. An easy answer would be to just call up the Toronto Transit system and ask. ~ <*Lana*> ~ -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!8!7500!55!Lana.Berrington Internet: Lana.Berrington@f55.n7500.z8.fidonet.org
