The mailpaths file is maintained at the large backbone sites: they know all about the latest aliases for the moderated groups. *Your* mailpaths files should only contain two lines (assuming you're running B news 2.11.x): one line containing the word "internet" and a "printf" like path to the nearest machine that understands Internet email addresses. one line containing the word "backbone" also followed by a "printf" like path to your nearest backbone site that maintains a full list of aliases. This is what I have: we understand Internet mail address ourselves and our nearest backbone is "hp4nl.nluug.nl".
