Friday, 23 February, at about 9:30 AM, dhw68k[.cts.com] lost power
(along with everything else in the neighborhood) for about 20 minutes.

As it happens, things got sufficiently scrambled that I found it
necessary to restore the root and spool file systems as of Thursday, 22
February, at about 4 PM.

* Some mail in transit (both to and from dhw68k[.cts.com]) may well have
  been lost.  Some may also be duplicated.

* A fair amount of news was lost.

The saving grace is that some measures to reduce the probability of a
recurrence are being pursued.
