This is my first post on a USENET system, and I hope it works okay.

I've not been able to get vi to work at all, in regards to if I make a

typing mistake and try to backspace, it will erase the line. Of course,

I have my backspace set to destructive, should I have it set to

something else? I've uploaded this message, after I wrote it offline,

and I hope it comes through okay. I've ordered "Unix Communications",

but the book won't be in until later this week, so I've just been

muddling through the shell, and trying not to screw something up

totally.
