Lots of Arts courses are interesting and the ratio is much better than in any Engineering program I've heard of. Another favourite of mine is to join things. I don't mean the Electrical Engineering Club, but things that lots of women are likely to join. My favourite is to act in a play or comedy group, since you get to know the other cast members quite well while having a good time doing it. (Hello to fellow FASSists out there ;-) You could also join the Engineering frosh committee for next year, or even the undergraduate student unions or societies. How about the co-ed campus recreation teams for sports like volleyball, baseball or swimming. (This has the added benefit of getting fit...) Or write for your campus paper. Join the pep-band. (If you have one) Volunteer for some psych experiments. Get your female friends to introduce you to their friends. There are hundreds of things you can do, especially on campus, but the point is you have to go out and actively do something about it. If you are merely looking for places to meet women, I've heard that two of the best are in church and in supermarkets. (Pick up an eggplant and look confused ;-) Edwin
