The tire fire in Hagersville Ontario has generated
consideerable discussion about the disposal of used
tires.  Does anyone know the pros and cons of
burning tires in a cement kiln?

Torchu, Alberta, Alberta Emvironment Minister has
approved a tire burning plant without an envrionmental
impact study.

Tire burning advocates claim cement kilns have been used
successfully in Europe, no specifics given.  comments?
