The director is Nino Manfredi.  He also did Nudo di Donna (Portrait of
a Woman, Nude) which is available on video.  I have not seen Bread and
Chocolate on video, but I did see it on Bravo, the cable channel.

Nudo di Donna is a sex comedy, and is a good film.  Bread and Chocolate
is also cool, especially the scene where the Italian puts makeup on and
dyes his hair so he looks like a Swiss German and goes to a bar and
tries to fit in.  Unfortunately, there is a soccor game on, and his
favorite team, the Italians are playing, and the people in the bar are
NOT rooting for his team at ALL!
