We're installing Oracle in hopes of providing a "seamless" database
environment.  In addition to many Oracle components, we're also using
Banyan Vines (LAN).  TCP/IP is used to communicate between the Vines
server and the 3090.
We don't have it working yet.  User should at least be able to sign on
to Oracle and get transparent read-only access to DB2 tables together with
access to Oracle tables owned at a departmental or individual level.  I'm
not sure what the optins are concerning the update of DB2 tables through
the Oracle distributed interface.
