If you want to appreciate the modernities of present-day life--
     go thru an ice-storm--Came Wedn. night--on this Tuesday,
     over 5000 persons still without power in this area--I was
     lucky--60 hours without TV--Stereo--but, I did have a fireplace,
     a gas cooking stove--and hot water heater--anyway--it's
     good to be back in contact with the REAL world--with a small
     item--
The Feb. 26th issue of the NATION has an article by Jon Weiner
     entitled  "Free Speech for Campus Bigots".  It seems particu-
     larly appropriate, what with the AR todo.  One part of me wants
     to see all bigots strung up by their thumbs--a more reasonable
     side of me knows that laws passed (aside from any Free Speech
     argument) can become very dangerous in the hands of some of
     our lawmakers--and turned against any group considered to be
     out of the white-male mainstream of our glorious society.  Merle
