Message-ID: <1990Feb28.172921.16917@wuche2.wustl.edu> Date: 28 Feb 90 17:29:21 GMT Reply-To: joshi@wuche2.wustl.edu () Organization: Washington University, St. Louis MO Lines: 21 i used VUIMG 2.1 to view two TIFF images scanned using CHINON scanner at 150x150. VUIMG could not read the orientation correctly - it displayed orientation=0 instead of one - and of course could not 'handle the orientation'. when i tried to view another TIFF image, scanned again with CHINON but with another software - i had a white blank screen staring at me. but wait, the story doesn't end here. when i tried to view the original images, it got the orientation right and displayed the images correctly! i have reproduced this scenario several times and i don't know what is going on. could some gurus help? :amol -- ------------------------------------------------------ Amol Joshi Department of Chemical Engineering
