I know its slow, but it compresses very, very, well. I'm not sure if it will do subdirs. If not, I vote for ZIP. The real reason for this posting, however, is to ask why everyone is against everything that doesn't run on UNIX and TOPS20. Isn't this comp.binaries.IBM.PC? Personally, I UUDECODE the stuff and then download it to the P.C. I WANT it .ARCed or .ZIPed when I send it to the P.C. Is there something that I'm missing? If using an MS-DOS only compression program is going to deny many people access to c.b.i.p then by all means, use ARC. I just don't understand why this is a problem.
