	I'm designing a real-time system with strict database requirements.
	The standard UNIX filesystem will not satisfy my requirements of
	being CRASH proof, contiguous file allocation, non-buffered disk
	writes......

	Has anyone written a file-system or database system on top of
	a UNIX raw device.  I'm looking for practical information,
	(i.e. source code or examples).
