[Yeah, I know, how typical a posting.] What kind of cheapo 2400 bps
modem should I get?  The cheaper the better. ...I plan to unplug it
between uses, so don't care if it remembers anything.  It'll be hooked
to a simple terminal who's function keys will want to send it, say, an
AT sequence to dial a phone number.  mmm... perhaps 2400-1200
switchability... That's about all I need.  Also curious if I can save
even more if I have my phone do the dialing, so the modem doesn't even
have to dial.  Mmmm, not into burning plastic smells---but willing to
learn :-)
