My understanding is that Objectworks C++ is a huge huge system that
requires on the order of 24 MBytes of RAM to get started.  This might
almost rule out the Mac as it stands now.

I suspect that Objectworks C++ might be more tied to Unix facilities
than in normal Objectworks Smalltalk since it has to tightly coordinate
with the existing compilers.
