I am using Ida sendmail and uk sendmail 2.1 configutaion scripts. I quite like to put all the NRS domain table info in ida (dbm) format. However I cant seem to convince the cnrs program to generate a list of all nrs sites in mail context. In non ida option of sendmail 2.1 only domains down to 3 level are required i.e. uk.ac.exeter uk.ac.man etc If you then send a mail to uk.ac.man.cs then that will work correctly. However, if I select the ida option with the same table then uk.ac.man will work but uk.ac.man.cs will not since it appears that with ida option the rules look for explicit entry in the domain tables. Piete Brooks and I have talked about it and we would like someone with the knowledge of how the ida option in sendmail 2.1 works to tell us more. Can the output procuded by the current cnrs (3.6) be used as input to domain tables for sendmail 2.1 with ida option? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Khalid Sattar JANET : admin@uk.ac.exeter.cs Computer Science Dept.
