Many people recommended the Roland TR909 and 707. Now, I have a couple of other questions: i) Do all the TRx0x machines have tape, pre-midi and midi sync? ii) Do they all have (semi-[*]) separate outputs for the drum sounds? I'm not particularly interested in the actual drum noise side but if I see two machines in the paper with only a smallish difference in price, I'd like to grab the one which may be potentially more intersting.
