I have been running IBM 1.1 SE on a Compaq 386s for quite a while now with _NO_ problems. We have OS/2 from a couple of different vendors and use it on various 386 machines (both straight 386 and 386sx) and have had _NO_ problems, especially no 'Brand X won't run on a 386' problems.
