I have been trying to FTP to it (at 128.174.25.50) many times over the last several weeks, but it never responded. Prior to that I had connected to it successfully on numerous occasions and don't reacall any instance of it not responding. Also, I used to receive the NCSA Telnet news bulletin every once in a while, not very regularly, but quite frequently. However, I did not received a bulletin for several months now. We are particularly eager to get a release version of NCSA Telnet 2.3 for the PC. The Beta I downloaded last does not work. Does anyone know whether they have gone out of the "business" of providing free software? That would be a tremendous loss! Has 2.3 for the PC ever been released? If so, is there an alternate host from which it can be FTPed? Wolfgang N. Naegeli Oak Ridge National Laboratory Internet: wnn@ornl.gov Bitnet: wnn@ornlstc Phone: 615-574-6143 Fax: 615-574-3895
