The pc has been assigned a host name and an Ip address, and these have been include in the /etc/hosts and the /etc/hosts.lpd files on the print server. However running lpr from the pc still returns "/usr/lib/lpd: Your host does not have line printer access". Actually I am tring to use the lpr utility from cmu's pcip package, But using the lpr utility under NCSA telnet also returns the same error.
