Unfortunately the results are not optimal and you get hyper-extension of the disk-eject button pushing finger. To go through the process takes about 30+ disk swaps while the demoreel goes back to the data disk to get more info. Sometimes it only takes a second or less and you have to swap the disk back. As a result you see a lot of requestors and a very dis-jointed display that appears to be incomplete. I would not recomment doing it if you are trying to impress someone with the AMIGAs finess. So, how does one run it properly if only one drive is available? I have a vanilla 2000HD with no extra drive and one meg of memory. I tried copying the two disks into the HD and assigning each volume name the directory path name containing that volumes files. When I cd'd to the volume name and executed the demo It would start up and build the RAM files and then just quit. If I put the Data disk in df0: the demo may or may not get as far as building the sand textured backdrop for the NewTek billboard. By reversing the procedure (DemoReel in df0: and using data from the HD) I got similar results, but occasionally it would get to the point of the stereo car horns. I could not find a common thread as to why the extent of operation was so variable. Since I only have one meg of memory I doubt that I can affort to build a virtual disk in core and still run the demo. Can I build a virtual disk in an existing partion of my HD? I rather suspect not! Is there a way to build a virtual floppy on the HD without having to dump my HD and reformat it? At this point any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated!!
