You won't be able to fit the 1000 version of the PA in place without either cutting away at the front of your 2000 or building some TALL standoffs and moving the power supply... :-) You get the FastROM option on a 500 or 2000 without needing the special 1000 version. Your best bet is to sell the 1000 version to someone who wants to be able to plug 512K ROMs into their 1000 and buy a new 2000 version for your 2000. As far as I know, there's no 16MHz 68010s made.
