Keywords: amiga console rawkey arrow device[A Message-ID: <996@xroads.UUCP> Date: 28 Feb 90 08:41:33 GMT Followup-To: comp.sys.amiga.tech Organization: Crossroads, Phoenix, Az Lines: 17 Does anyone know any easy method for reading the arrow keys from the console device??? I have opened a window and the console device and when I read characters from the keyboard I don't get the characters for the arrow keys that the amiga programming guides (including RKM) tell me I should! I get "AA" for up arrow and "BB" for down arrow instead of A~ for up arrow and B~ for down arrow. I can't figure out how to detect either of those two or the "AA" and "BB" that I am getting now. I am using if statements to check the char variable (ch) and when I output it to the window using a console write character procedure, it gives me the aforementioned "AA" or "BB"?? Anybody got a clue as to how to detect those arrow keys?? I would appreciate any and all replys!!!! thanks.
