I'm just sorry it uses such a large amount of resources that I find it not to be worthwhile to use it on a daily basis. I wish I could; it is a hell of a lot more powerful than AShell, the CLI or dillon's shell. But I don't need that extra power for normal use, nice though it is to have available. If I could afford the size, and if I had a hard drive available on the Amiga I use, (not even my own) then I would overlook the lack of speed and use it for the power and flexibility. On the system I use (a 1 Meg A500 w/2 drives), I can't spare the resources. Bob> Not very responsible net behavior. It does a good job, but it doesn't give me what I'm looking for in a "standard" shell. Bob> A very important point is that the author is ACTIVELY supporting Bob> the product with upgrades. Maliciously? I have offered Steve several times to provide suggestions, bug reports, etc. I'd be happy to work on the code itself, if he'd release it. I'm glad he's supporting it as well as he is. But in it's current state, SKsh isn't useful for ME. [and SKsh isn't exactly "commercial". By and large, "commercial" software is rarely professional.] Deven> Too bad I haven't had time to write a shell myself. Bob> Or the intellegence.... It's said that those that can, do. And Bob> those that can't claim they can. Now who's being malicious? You have no idea what I may be capable of, and ad hominem attacks don't mark you as a particularly clever fellow yourself. I was not making a personal attack on Steve Koren. I was justifying my position, which was that I don't use SKsh because I find the resources required for operation to be prohibitive.
